This is a sign found in Chongqing Zoo in southwest of China, Sichuan province.
The Chinese characters on the sign are: '娅娅，雌性，2000年九月出生于成都大熊猫繁育基地。2001年四月来重庆动物园安家。’

In Pinyin is yǎyǎ, cíxìng, 2000 niánjiǔyuè chūshēng yú Chéngdu dàxióngmāofányù jīdì. 2001 nián sìyuè lái Chóngqìngdòngwù yuán ānjiā.

The English translation on the sign is very good. I am copying it from the sign. 'Yayafemale, was born in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Septermber, 2000. She came to Chongqing Zoo in April, 2001.'

Learning Activities:

• Read the 'fun with the sign' along with the audio attached. Find the new words in the sentences and write them down to discuss in your group and try to figure out the meaning.
• Review the funny story learned last time '哪里哪里'.

1. Complete the practice sheets '想想'and '写写'
2. Read the story three times and able to retell when we meet in class
3. Make sentences by using the new words learned from this story.
