This is a sign I found at the Beijing Airport. I am sure you will see it at the other international airport in China as well. Please click here and read after me from the top of the sign to the bottom:

登机口  dēngjīkǒu
洗手间  xǐshǒujiān
吸烟室  xīyānshì
商店  shāngdiàn

Lesson Three

Supplementary Learning Material

This is a sign found in Chongqing Zoo in southwest of China, Sichuan province.
The Chinese characters on the sign are: '娅娅,雌性,2000年九月出生于成都大熊猫繁育基地。2001年四月来重庆动物园安家。’

In Pinyin is yǎyǎ, cíxìng, 2000 niánjiǔyuè chūshēng yú Chéngdu dàxióngmāofányù jīdì. 2001 nián sìyuè lái Chóngqìngdòngwù yuán ānjiā.

The English translation on the sign is very good. I am copying it from the sign. 'Yayafemale, was born in Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in Septermber, 2000. She came to Chongqing Zoo in April, 2001.'

Now click here, you can listen to my reading of the sign and some explanations.
